Plyometrics focus on fast-twitch fibers, which are your functioning muscles. They help you lift weights, babies, etc. Our slow twitch fibers help with sprints. Why is it important to build strength in our fast-twitch fibers? Endurance! Strengthening these will not only help clients stay in postures longer, but helps in daily life (walking up stairs, going on long hikes, etc.).
*A quick reminder that when giving the option to add a small hop or jump, you must start in the low impact option, then once you give the demonstration of the challenge, go back to the low impact option. We don’t want people to feel like they HAVE to hop so we protect everyone’s bodies and continue to offer low impact, high intensity classes.*
